Using the Bixby app on your mobile phone, log in and navigate to the Payments feature on the sidebar menu. Click the big yellow button that says “Click Here to Make a Payment.” Follow the instructions to add a payment method (credit/debit card or bank account). You can now select payment amount, payment method, and send.
(If you don’t see this button, it’s because your manager hasn’t added a bank account to Bixby to collect payments. You should see a button prompting you to send an email to your manager requesting that they enable the Payments feature.)
If you will be making a rent payment every month you can set up auto-pay to never miss a payment. To do this, navigate to Settings in the sidebar menu on the web or mobile app. From there select “Payment Methods”, you can select which of your payment methods you would like to complete these transactions with as well as turn on or off autopay from this screen.
Payment fees on Bixby differ depending on how you pay.
- ACH payments (electronic payments directly from your bank account) incur a fee of .8% of the total transaction – up to a maximum of $5.
- Credit and debit card transactions incur a fee of 2.9% of the transaction total plus a flat $.30, paid by the Resident.
These fees are charged directly to Bixby from Stripe, our payment gateway, which we then pass on to the party making the payment (you). We’re constantly working with Stripe to reduce the fees that you incur. We suggest you use ACH payments whenever possible, as they are currently the cheapest payment method.
